Q: My carberator for my plymouth fury is busted, where can I find a new one cheap in california?
the car is a plymouth fury 3 commando and i have the vid for it
A: There are tons of pick and pull junk yards in California, I could make some suggestions if I knew where in California since its such a big state.

i have a Plymouth fury 3 1968 coupe with the original aluminum moldings. i found a molding set online for a 4 door Plymouth fury. same exact car just the differences are the 2 dr and 4 dr. Will the molding fit on a 2dr if its sold as a 4dr set? (the only piece i need is the front passenger side molding.
A: Nope ,they are different!!!
Q: Need advise on changing motor mounts on a 1965 plymouth fury II?
It looks like the motor mounts will be easy to get to, but I have never changed motor mounts before. I have access to a drive on lift, and pretty much all the tools to do it. What do I need to do to lift the motor up, and how should I do it.
A: Just don’t try to jack the engine up by the oil pan, this is not strong enough to use. Find a different sturdier spot on the engine to jack it up just enough to take the tension off of the motor mounts. If you have access to a drive on lift (a dandy piece of equipment, no doubt, but useless in this case) perhaps that person has an engine hoist also. This would be the safest way to lift the engine an inch or so. If not, you’re kinda stuck with rigging something up with a floor jack.
Q: Where can I find parts for a four door 1967 Plymouth Fury III?
What I mainly need is a rear bumper, Grille, and trunk lid. I traded a mini chopper for this old project this weekend and while the most of the body is in good condition it still needs some parts. A used parts source would be fine. The motor is a 318.
Thanks for your help.
A: check this guy out he has a lot of parts and cars for sale i bought a front end off him for a 66 fury last year,he,s a good person to deal with, and if he don’t have it he will find it or you, good luck.http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByVehicle/DODGE ,,here,s another one that’s good to deal with,http://drmopar.com/
Q: Engine in the 1958 Plymouth Fury used in the movie 1983 movie Christine?
Basically what the title is. Every time I try to look it up on Wikipedia or Google, it freezes. All other websites work, but those two are locking my laptop out of them for some stupid reason. So what was the engine size? Thanks.
A: 318, 350 or 361 CID
Q: Is the 1958 Plymouth Fury a bad taste in a cars?
Well i think it is pretty rare to find and they made a movie on it called Christine. If you look at christine the car from the stephen king movie; it is really a killer.
A: The ‘58 Fury is an awesome car, but they’re pretty rare, expensive and it’s extremely hard to find parts for them. If you really want one, look into the 1957-58 Plymouth Belvedere. Just about every one of Plymouth’s models from 1957-58 looked exactly the same except for a different roofline. Belevederes are a lot cheaper than your average Fury, and unlike the Fury, they actually made them in red.
If you want to see a car that really looks like a killer, look up the ‘59 Dodge Coronet.
Q: Where can I get motor mounts for a 1965 Plymouth fury III 4D sedan with a 318 engine?
My car is shaking like a leaf !
A: A search of Autozones on line catalog shows motor mounts are still available, probably still avail from many parts suppliers in your area, Around $10 each.
Q: I am trying to find a power brake conversion kit for a 1966 plymouth fury 1, can yoiu help?
I have drum brakes on it and I am in wheelchair and have to have power brakes. I don’t want to take the drums off just convert them. Tks
A: The power drum brakes really don,t work all that well…I had power drums on my car and went to disc…Power disc is the only way to go…I bought my disc brake conversion for my 67 gtx off of ebay…It was about 800.00 bucks…You need to pick up a copy of Mopar Muscle magizine…They have 4 or 5 companys that offer conversions…A good company that will have what you need is Street Rod Manufactering…Their web address is www.tsmmfg.com.Their phone number is 303-688-6882.The have a large secltion of conversions…They even have one for your 8 3/4 rearend….
Q: 71 Plymouth Fury with 318 has low oil pressure. What is a decent temporary fix?
After 1/2 hour of driving or so, when the motor is fully warmed up, the oil light flickers off and on at idle. There is a tapping sound when this happens.
Putting the car in neutral gets rid of the problem, and the light does not come on during driving.
The motor does not smoke, but it is original so I’m sure the bearings are worn or something to that extent.
Would a heavier weight of a high mileage oil help this problem? Or is there an additive I can put in like Lucas?
A: try cleaning the pick up sump out for the oil pump and see if that helps it,when they get stopped up they,ll do this once they get warmed up,you can also replace the oil pump while your at it and that may fix it,or you may need to do a lower end rebuild on it there no real quick fix for it though, good luck.
Q: Where can I buy a 1958 Plymouth Fury?
Where can I buy this car and how much do they cost?
A: If I wanted a Plymouth Fury 1958 I would do two things I would keep a careful watch on E-bay and secondly I would take out an add in the local news paper. I am sure that if you find one it will range from a few dollars as junk all the way up to many thousands of dollars. The better the condition the more that it will cost you.
Note; not trying to be a butt but I am 62 years old and remember the Car well we never thought of it as a family car
Q: is it possible to put a hitch on a 1967 plymouth fury?
i m looking to tow a motorcycle with this car. it will be an open trailer, 10 feet long at the most, and i’m only gonna haul motorcycles.
A: Absolutely! Try reesehitch.com and see if there’s an application that works. You may have to measure from the outside of one frame rail to the outside of the other frame rail and call with the measurements and they will send you to the closest reese hitch retail dealer. GOOD LUCK!!!
Q: how can i find out the bolt pattern for 1967 plymouth fury sport?

A: Try wildcats auto salvege for your dash pad…They have over 800 mopars in their lot…they are in oregon…Just google it..
Q: Does any one know where a 1958 Plymouth Fury 2 door might be hidding?
I am looking to restore a 1958 Plymouth Fury any condition.
A: Try EBAY MOTORS
Q: my 85 plymouth fury won’t start because no fuel is getting to the carburetor what can i do?
i changed fuel filter,fuel pump,checked lines
A: Did you hook up the fuel lines to the pump correctly or did you reverse them? No offense meant, I don’t know if the car was running and quit or if you purchased a non-running car and are trying to get it running. I have seen people hook up mechanical pumps backwards in the past.
Start at the carb, take off the fuel line and make sure it is not plugged between the carb and the pump, simply blow air through it to be sure the line is clear. If this line is clear, take a can of gas and insert a piece of fuel hose into it and hook up the other end to the fuel pump and see if it will run from the can, if yes than you have a problem between the pump and the fuel tank, possibly sludge at the fuel tank pickup. Good luck.
